Watch our Livestream Interview with NavPress Author Brian Jennings
Today our communications team tried out something new on our Facebook page. For the first time we published a Facebook Live video interview. It’s something I’ve wanted to try out for a long time since live video has been shown to be one of the most engaging forms of content on Facebook (plus Facebook shows those posts to more people than any other kind of post we would publish). I’m really excited to have taken the plunge.
Our social media specialist Lauren Berve interviewed Brian Jennings, author of Dancing in No Man’s Land: Moving with Peace and Truth in a Hostile World, published by NavPress. Lauren had never conducted a live interview before and I think she did a wonderful job. Brian was also an excellent storyteller, an important skill as an interviewee.
Above is a behind the scenes photo taken during the interview. Here at Navigator headquarters we have a small video recording room that we use primarily for creating staff training and announcement videos. You can see on the tripod we simply used an iPhone as our camera. In the future we’re considering a more professional multi-camera setup, but for now we’re content with this simpler solution.
I look forward to our team producing more livestream content in the future. If you get a chance to watch the interview let me know what you think in the comments below.
