About

I help leaders and organizations make better decisions about brand.

A good brand strategy closes the gap between brand positioning and brand experience. It helps ensure that what an organization says about itself is reflected in how it actually operates, makes decisions, and shows up over time.

My work focuses on helping people think clearly about that gap, especially in situations where the right path isn’t obvious, and the tradeoffs are real.

I’ve spent more than two decades working with brands in a range of capacities, from participant and contributor to strategist and manager. That work has largely taken place within global non-profits, where I’ve served in a variety of roles over time and continue to do so today.

In that context, I’ve worked closely with leaders and teams navigating questions of identity, focus, growth, and alignment. I’ve seen how difficult it can be to maintain coherence between stated intent and lived reality, and how much clarity it brings when those two begin to line up.

I also hold a master’s degree in Strategic Brand Communication, which helped give language and structure to patterns I had already encountered in practice.

This site is where I’m working through those patterns more deliberately. The goal isn’t to prescribe answers, but to help people develop better judgment about brand and the decisions that shape it.

If you’re responsible for a brand and trying to navigate real constraints, real people, and real decisions, you’re the audience I have in mind.
